I carry an eclectic approach while working with clients. My approach caters to the biopsychosocial model which takes into consideration the biological, psychological, and social aspects. Each session is tailored and individualised as per the needs of the client. While there is no set structure of sessions, I always try to incorporate goal setting in each session to let the client derive maximum out of it.
In my practice, I draw elements from various modalities such as cognitive behaviour therapy, emotion-focused therapy, mindfulness, client-centered therapy, sex therapy, and emotional intelligence to holistically help you in your journey towards recovery and upliftment. Active sensitive listening and problem solving is my forte through which I intend to maximise the well-being of a person in whichever domain of life they are distressed in.
My interest in Psychology stems from my very own experiences with psychological complaints that coloured major waking hours of the day and left me with erratic sleep cycle. Closely observing and experiencing these events led me to contemplate that stress is not acquired in one day. It compounds over time; sometimes with worries multiplying, other days with distress showing physical manifestations. Therefore, it is very important to break this chain of worries and distress by choosing to cope.
Therefore, my understanding comes not merely from my formal education, training, and supervision received from my mentors but a large part of it comes from sustained thoughtful reflections, and devoting hours reading the subject.
